Charming Bamboo Bungalow perched over, a natural Koi pond, overlooking Lake Lanier, adjacent to a majestic bamboo forest. Perfect for couples or solo travelers looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating retreat in a gorgeous natural setting of three acres of landscaped gardens and natural woodlands.
This home has been featured in several magazines and was voted “Atlanta’s Coolest Backyard” in a landscape design competition. Surrounded by a forest of towering bamboo, graceful Japanese Maples, Ginko, and Cedar trees. From your private deck, sprinkle the fish food (provided) into the pond and watch the colorful Japanese Koi fish and our family of turtles as they gracefully maneuver around the lightning-fast bream fish. Enjoy the chirping of birds in the morning and the sounds of the crickets and frogs in the evening. Explore the landscaped gardens, terraces, and bamboo forest.
Enjoy Lake Lanier from our private dock where you have access to lounge chairs, floats, hammocks, and a paddle boat for exploring the cove. There’s room at the dock to bring your own boat (or rental) if you’d like. It’s a very gentle walk down to the dock. The water is deep and wonderful for swimming in the warmer months.
The Bamboo Bungalow is a cozy, adorable studio featuring a bamboo ceiling, seagrass walls, wide-plank pine floors, and restored barn-wood cabinets. Prepare simple meals in a well-equipped efficiency kitchen or treat yourself to the wide variety of nearby restaurants (delivery and takeout available). Enjoy down pillows and a down comforter dressed in a clean cotton duvet cover. Sink into cozy bathrobes made from versatile, sustainable bamboo fabric.
