-Please mark your calendars and make plans to come and enjoy one of our three May Concerts.
-All concerts are free, open to the public, with easy access and free parking.
-Come join us for some Prokofieff, Stamitz, Janacek, Williams, and Sousa.
Join us Mother’s Day weekend for a fabulous concert! Our guest performer is Pamela Ryan, who is Professor of Viola at the Florida State University College of Music. She also is an experienced jazz violist, so you might hear a little jazz too!
We’re opening with Prokofieff’s March from the Love for Three Oranges, which some of you will remember from the radio show Your FBI in Peace and War.
Pamela will play Concerto for Viola in D Major, Op 1 by Karl Stamitz, a piece which lets the violist show off his skills and really entertains the audience.
This will be followed by Janacek’s Idyll, a set of 7 short, very different, pieces.
Hymn to the Fallen and Summon the Heroes, both by John Williams and John Phillip Sousa’s Liberty Bell March conclude the program.
