2015 is the year of Culinary Tourism in Georgia. So, the Lake Lanier Convention & Visitors Bureau has been comparing notes with locals and we’re almost ready to announce the 100 Plates Locals Love at Lake Lanier.
It’s a list of all the best places to eat and what to order when you get there. 100 Plates Locals Love at Lake Lanier is a companion publication to the state wide culinary travel guide (100 Plates Locals Love) being published by the state of Georgia in July of 2015.
Our local guide will expand upon the state’s list and delve deeper into the delicious flavors of the Hall County, Georgia area with a focus on the dishes our fans love most.

Are you a restaurant owner or manager? If so, you’re invited to join us for an information session about the opportunities coming up this year to promote your business through the Year of Culinary Tourism program.
We’ve scheduled TWO information sessions so you have a choice of when to attend. Information will be the SAME at both meetings. The agenda will include an overview of the categories Georgia Tourism is considering for their publication, how to take advantage of FREE marketing opportunities online, in your restaurant and through social media. Public relations events and the opportunity to host the Georgia Culinary Explorer at your location. Plans for state-wide and local restaurant weeks.
