Fitness Class Schedule

AQUA ATTITUDE (M/W/F 9:00am-10:00am): Shallow water exercise to get your morning started right! Provides low-impact on joints and improves range of motion, flexibility, muscle tone, muscle and core strength, posture, balance, and endurance. No swimming skills needed. All fitness levels.

AQUA STRETCH AND CARDIO (SAT 8:15am-9:15am): This class down version of Stretch and Flex combined with a medium paced Water Works! First half consists of walking and stretching exercises and the second half consists of strengthening exercises and cardiovascular fitness using the resistance and buoyancy of water.

AQUA ZUMBA (M 5:30pm-6:15pm): Aqua Zumba is the ultimate “pool party!” Workout to hot Latin and international rhythms using dance based moves designed especially for the water. It’s Zumba in the pool!

DEEP WATER AEROBICS (TU/TH 5:30pm-6:30pm): This timed freestyle choreography program designed to build core strength and cardiovascular endurance. Deep water training provides more hydrostatic pressure that increases metabolism and circulation.

DEEP WATER CONDITIONING (TU/TH 6:30pm-7:15pm): Timed intervals of running either tethered to the pool wall (and working against your own efforts) or moving free in deep water. We will be alternating periods of jogging, kicking, bicycling, and running with designated time frames with emphasis on endurance and cardio-respiratory training. Participants may want to increase resistance and effort with use of buoyant ankle cuffs or fins (these are not provided by the Center).

GENTLE MOVEMENTS (M/W/F 11:00am-12:00pm): Relieve stress and strain with stretching movements that train in water for life on land. This class is beneficial for those experiencing pain from arthritis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, rehabilitation, and chronic joint pain. All fitness levels are welcome. No swimming skills required. Water shoes recommended.

SENIOR AQUACIZE (TU/TH 11:00am-11:50am): A fun workout combining cardio work and gentle strengthening exercises. This class is designed to improve flexibility and balance and is gentle on the joints. Suitable for beginning exercisers or those with minimal limitations.

SENIOR JUMPING JACK SPLASH (TU/TH 10:00am-10:50am): This is a multi-level work out that is designed for all fitness levels. Beginners to Seasoned Aquacizers can benefit from aerobic conditioning exercises combined with strength training and a cool down stretch period. Equipment such as noodles and buoyancy weights are used to help improve balance and muscle tone.

SHALLOW WATER (M/W 6:15pm-7:15pm): A chest deep class designed to provide improvements in strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness.  We start with a fun 30 minute building block choreography program, and then 30 minutes of muscle strengthening and resistance water exercise.

STRETCH AND FLEX (M/TU/W/TH/F 8:00am-9:00am): A slower paced shallow water exercise perfect for seniors, beginners, and all levels of fitness. This class will provide walking and stretching exercises that use the water’s resistance and buoyancy to improve balance, posture, endurance, and flexibility.

WATER WORKS (M/W/F 10:00am-11:00am): Anyone can experience the benefits of water aerobics even if you can’t swim. This hour long class is packed full of fun exercises, awesome music, and great fellowship with other participants. No matter your age, gender, or athletic ability, this class is for you. WATER shoes recommended.

WATER WORKOUT FOR ARTHRITIS (T/TH 9:00am-9:50am): A gentle water workout with little to no impact. Specifically designed for people with joint stiffness to increase flexibility and muscular strength. All exercises are researched and recommended by the National Arthritis Foundation.


Land Fitness

BARRE (M/W 6:30pm-7:30pm, TU/TH 9:00am-10:00am): A long lean, strong and sexy body with extra attention to the (core, hips, and thighs) while also giving your upper body a rockin’ workout too. This class combines dance-inspired positions, isometric work, light weights using varied props, floor exercises and stretching to create a strong, sleek and streamlined “dancer’s body”.

BODY BLAST (TU/TH 10:00am-10:55am): We will use yoga poses, chair, ball, weights and the bars to tone our bodies. This will be a great class to get long lean muscle and to increase our body strength and burn calories while defining muscles. Multilevel class for all fitness levels.

DANCE FIT (M/W 9:00am-9:55am): This fun and exciting class consists of choreographed aerobic dance and full workout routines with weights. Work on strength and balance, stretching and toning.

PILATES & CORE (F 9:00am-9:55am): This class focuses on core strengthening, strengthening the muscles, increase in flexibility, mobility, balance and body awareness, as well as a decrease in back pains. This Pilates workout promotes strength and balanced muscle development as well as flexibility and increased range of motion.

STRENGTH IN MOTION (M/W/F 11:00am-11:45am): This class blends strength and cardio aiming to increase your heart rate and creating lean muscle mass for ALL ages and abilities! Move to the music through a variety of exercises to strengthen your muscles and increase your range of motion.

S.W.E.A.T. (M/W 5:30pm-6:30pm): This is an intense body changing workout designed for people who want to make rapid changes to their body shape. It combines cardio and weight training in a “boot camp” style format. Some workouts may be outside (weather permitting).

ZUMBA (M/W/F 10:00am-10:55am,TH 7:00pm-8:00pm): Zumba is a dance fitness class that fuses Latin and international music and rhythms with fitness moves and interval training to create a dynamic, effective, FUN workout that everyone can do.

GENTLE RESTORATIVE YOGA (M/W/F 12:00pm-1:00pm) This class uses gentle movements and simple restorative stretches and floor work that provide a well-rounded approach for feeling your best in mind, body and spirit. All levels welcomed and encouraged. (Bring a towel to use as a prop.)

YOGA (TU 12:00pm-1:00pm, TH 11:00am-12:00pm): This class is a blend of Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga moving from one posture to another. Meditation in motion, linking the breath with the posture. Develop a deeper awareness of your body while gaining strength, flexibility and balance. Appropriate for a large range of students as the instructor will offer variations for more or less of a challenge.

YOGALATES (S 9:30am-10:25am): This class will follow the principles of a traditional Hatha (gentle) yoga class, while introducing the muscle strengthening and lengthening attributes of Pilates. Help keep your body balanced, improving posture, and reducing stress for an overall sense of well being. Appropriate for all ages and abilities. Modifications provided for those with injury limitations.

YOGALEAN (W 1:15pm-2:00pm): Yogalean introduces a holistic lifestyle program, based on overall wellness and lean living tips, yoga poses and flows, and lean recipes; all in a supportive environment. Come join others who are on a journey towards greater leanness and vitality for life.


Spin Classes

HIGH GEAR CYCLING (M 5:30pm-6:30pm): Is your goal cross-training, maintaining endurance year round or off season, losing weight, or increasing your overall health and fitness level? Kick it into High Gear! High Gear is a 60-minute cardio challenge that pushes you the extra mile!

INTRO TO INDOOR CYCLING (M 11:00am-11:45am): Come join the newest trend in fitness conditioning! We will learn bike setup, proper technique, and safety, while enjoying a group ride perfect for all ages and abilities. Experience the exhilaration of biking no matter what the weather!

HIGH OCTANE SPIN (TU 5:30pm-6:30pm, SAT 9:30am-10:30am): Something for everyone! Come get your interval training on a spin bike with high/low, Tabata training, heart pumping, calorie burning workout. Come ready to work and sweat. This is a first come first served class.

SPINSTER (TU/TH 9:00am-9:45am) New combo class that focuses on spinning and core. This class combines a spinning ride with core training exercises that strengthen and stabilize the muscles needed for more efficiency during spinning class, cycling and everyday life activities.

GRIND N SPIN (TH 5:30pm-6:30pm): This class is designed for heavy gear and strenuous climbing and is designed to promote build up of lactic acid in the legs. May include squats for muscle confusion.

RHYTHM RIDE (F 5:30pm-6:30pm) Cardio doesn’t have to be boring. In this class we will use the music to improve cardiovascular endurance. This is a high energy ride for all levels.
