Friday Block Parties
Downtown along Main Street and on the new City Hall lawn starting in June, Discover Lake Lanier will host another series of Block Parties. These Friday evening events once a month are free and filled with live music and family fun. You can expect a bevvy of food trucks and street bars plus delicious treats for sale from local merchants. Each month features a different theme with this season highlighting pop culture favorites including Star Wars and Harry Potter. In August, be sure to attend the back to school pep rally and street dance with deejay General Mealz. A Top 100 Restaurant and Funky Chic Merchants
Flowery Branch’s Old Town shopping district is about to get a face lift with the City’s major redevelopment plan about to begin in late spring. But don’t be deterred by the progress of construction. Downtown merchants are still open and will be offering their wares throughout the redevelopment. It may surprise you that a Top 100 restaurant in the USA is on Main Street in The Branch. Flowery Branch is the headquarters and training facility for the NFL Atlanta Falcons. Their stunning campus with scenic mountain views is a must see every summer when they open their doors for a few days during training camp. Watch the team prepare for the upcoming season, cheer them on during scrimmage games with other NFL teams and then meet your favorite players after practice on the autograph line. Admission is free.
