GTA to present It’s a Wonderful Life as thanks to the community for 35 years of partnership
It has been 35 years since GTA founder Ed Cabell set up the handshake between a private women’s college and a public junior college and invited the community to help a handful of students produce plays.
Since then, both colleges have grown and become universities, guest and staff professionals design sets, costumes and lights, and an army of nearly 200 theatre majors tackle the shows so that GTA production values rival those of theatres in any major U.S. city. And the community that used to design, sew and build still supports the students with home cooked meals and an endowment of over $400,000. It has been an amazing 35 years, and GTA wants to say THANK YOU.
